“People will stare. Make it worth their while.” — Harry Winston
It was a usual, beautiful morning filled with fabulosity. Sun rays slipped right through the drapes between the wavy blackout curtains and shone right across my face; mildly glaring and hopeful. My daily thoughtless regime involves the swirling pleasure of rolling in the comfort of the blanket like a cocoon (you may call it a human burrito), waking up has since been made easier from wriggling out of that wrap.
I stood before the huge mirror in the bathroom, stared at my identical twin in the reflection and let out a sigh. Knowing that I’m going to spend at least an hour applying make up, of which the end result could only be told from the eyes. I very much prefer the absolute pleasure of spending a couple hours picking outfit from my wardrobe instead. In the most unfortunate case, I have to do both, of which, sum up a total of two and a half hours prep work. I’m not sure if I am the only one who spent half of that sixty minutes on my eyes combing my natural lashes repeatedly strand by strand. It is ridiculous but honey, I’m really particular about it and constantly trying to perfect it.
Speak about the importance of first impression. What people see when they first meet another human being is the person’s face. If you look good, that’s a bonus; no one will forget you. Looking good is, by default, everyone’s top desire. From time to time, I’ll wonder what are the key factors that contribute to beauty/attractiveness? I can’t emphasize how important it is to set a benchmark for ourselves and consistently work to reach a new level. Nobody is perfect, we all need to constantly be reminded of how to be better in all life’s aspects. But let’s just keep it superficial for now.
Although every part of our face plays a huge role in defining facial beauty, honestly the word ‘beauty’ itself is very subjective. No fixtures set as an international standards, only certain guidelines as references. In my personal opinion, what could truly hold a game of its own is a pair of beautiful eyes and/or a warm, generous and beautiful smile. They work best hand in hand. However, the eyes are the windows to the soul; not just our own but also the souls of others. When you have a set of lustrous eyes and possess the knowledge and capability to work it, you basically own the core power of seduction. See what I meant by “…other people’s soul”? Let’s get real. When people come up and speak to you, the first they would look at, and then into, is that pair of eyes. It can either upsell you, or literally sell you out.
My guardian angel rode a unicorn out to play this day and sent an emergency SOS signal to the universe on the peak of a rainbow. Its radar was tuned in at the perfect time, with that perfect angle on a perfect day. The signal took a deflection off the stars and oriented towards professional help on earth. With high credibility and a very persuasive track record of satisfied clientele, The Prestige Eyebrow & Lash Specialist came knocking on my door. For once I was convinced into jump out of my comfort zone, onto the bandwagon with spontaneity. I was sold!
Delight, the most appropriate verb to describe this state of occurrence — the result. The Prestige team’s warmth and patience would typically make anyone feel at ease, assured and reassured if you need. With a variety of products and packages available, it was tedious making choices. Korean Mink Eyelash Extension works best for me. Apart from its premium quality, I really like the fact that it’s weightless sitting on my natural lashes; it’s the lightest as well as thinnest in the beauty industry by far. All for the natural look.
They also offer trial session at SGD $108 (originally SGD $128). Alternatively, VIP packages of 3 and 6 months at the price of SGD $428 and $628 respectively. Dolling up has never been this easy. Same result with the least eyeliner and mascara (only applied on bottom lash). Preparation time greatly reduced and best of all, management isn’t as tough as I thought it would be. The smile on my face did not cease to exist for weeks. Love how my eyes speak a million…
